Join the DA Vocal Department Family
To be a successful vocal program, our students need year-round support from our vocal parents and members of our community. There are a variety of fundraising opportunities offered throughout the school year including benefit concerts, silent auctions, and even car washes and cookie sales. The proceeds of these fundraisers are instrumental in keeping our departmental enrichment fees lower than those of many of the DA arts areas and are a source of revenue for the department for new equipment and supplies. Volunteering is super fun and easy and doesn’t require special training or skills.
Over the course of the year, each household is encouraged to donate 10 hours of time. Parents, please complete the Duval County Volunteer Application in order to volunteer your time with our department. All parents, guardians, or other persons with a child enrolled and attending Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, and community members interested in supporting the Douglas Anderson Vocal Boosters’ mission are welcome and encouraged to participate.

All funds raised enable us to offer scholarships to graduating seniors enrolling in collegiate music programs; bring in guest artists; compete in various performances and competitions; offset student and chaperone Journey Tour travel costs; and upgrade our classroom music technology and equipment.

Our annual Silent Auction is held in conjunction with our Cabaret performance! If you or someone you know (individuals and/or businesses) might be interested in donating Silent auction raffle items, sponsoring catering for our Cabaret event, or simply lending a hand, we want to hear from you!
